The symposium will cover topics on various applications of bio-chips, next generation sequencing, functional genomics and computational biology with a specific focus on gaining in-depth knowledge of diseases. Research activities of the members of the Slovenian Consortium for Bio-Chips and collaborating foreign institutions will be presented.
The official language of the symposium is English.
CFGBC members are invited to give a presentation (lecture or poster) about their research interests within the scope of Microarray research, Next Generation Sequencing and Computational genomics at the Symposium. Younger researchers and Early Stage Researchers are invited to present their research on posters.
The symposium is not limited to the members of the Slovenian Consortium for Bio-Chips; international collaborators of the Center are strongly encouraged to present their work.
Commercial partners of the Center are invited to present their solutions and also to financially participate in the organization of the symposium: see an invitation letter.
Abstracts of oral presentations and posters will be published in a book of abstracts together with sponsor's advertisements. The books will be available to the participants on the day of the symposium.
The symposium will take place from 9:00am to 13:00pm at the Faculty of Computer Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Večna pot 113, Ljubljana, Slovenia. The lectures will be held in the P22 lecture room. Exhibition of posters and commercial solutions will take place in the hall in front of the lecture room. More on how to get to the symposium here.
Registration will open at 8:00am and lectures will start with an opening speech. During coffee break posters will be presented. The symposium will finish at 13:00pm followed by ISBE workshop.
All participants are requested to register online. Registration is free of charge. Participants are also invited to submit abstracts and present their work at the symposium either as an oral presentation or a poster. Abstracts of oral presentations and posters will be published in a book of abstracts. For details please see the registration and abstract submission guidelines.
