CASyM winter school of Systems Medicine took place between March 29th and April 1st 2017 in Ljubljana, Slovenia and is entitled »The 3rd SysBioMed hands-on tutorial: Systems Medicine Approaches in Personalized Medicine«
BioRobotics MicroGrid II 610 from Genomic Solutions (formerly by Apogent Discoveries) is a high throughput automated microarrayer, offering high throughput sample handling with the ability to work from 96, 384 or 1536 well microplates. Up to 24 microplates at a time can be accommodated in the BioBank loading cartridge and a maximum of 10 BioBanks (240 microplates) may be programmed into a single run. It can be used to create everything from microarrays of DNA product on glass slides to macroarrays of bacterial colonies. Other accessories provide added functionality such as the management of bacterial libraries through replication and re-arraying.
The instrument at CFGBC is customizable, offering:
BioBank loading cartridge for 20 standard profile microplates
BioBank loading cartridge for 24 low profile microplates
96/384 pin tool for microarrays
96 pin macro tool
M-Array solid pin 0.05 mm
4 MicroSpot quill pins 2500
16 pin wash plate & cover for 96/384 tool
capacity for 120 slides
handheld barcode reader
TAS Application Suite v.220.127.116.11 is used to control the robot.
