CASyM winter school of Systems Medicine took place between March 29th and April 1st 2017 in Ljubljana, Slovenia and is entitled »The 3rd SysBioMed hands-on tutorial: Systems Medicine Approaches in Personalized Medicine«
Microarray scanner GenePix Personal 4100A from Axon Technologies is designed for analysis of DNA, tissue and protein microarrays. It enables scanning of one glass slide at a time, maximal scan area is 22 x 71.5 mm, and minimal resolution is 5 µm per pixel. Scanner enables accurate and reproducible scanning, and is the best one in its field. The two lasers, 532 and 635 nm, are used to excitate the fluorescent dyes, which are usually used in microarray technology (Cyanin-3 and 5, Alexa).
GenePix Pro 6.0 software is used to control the scanner and to analyze the image. Acuity 4.0 software enables data processing, normalization and other analysis of microarray data.
For non-members of the Consortium the price for scanning a slide is 69,40 EUR. *
* The price is approximate, the final price will be established by the end of 2007.
